my brother is in town this week. he’s helping me work on deck i’ve been building the last couple of weeks. i’ve been in full isolation mode focused almost entirely on planning and building this behemoth. definitely bit off a bit more than i can chew, considering i’ve never done this type of project before. we’re just taking it one step at a time and it’s coming together.
todays loop is a very slight homage to the opening track of nico muhly’s record “mothertongue” where vocalists sing the alphabet in harmony. my version is more asmr speaking and counting instead of the alphabet. it’s meant to create a type of time warp - maybe a little eerie, too?
today’s photo
one of the last pictures of my cross-illinois bike ride last month taken by my friend tyler who rode the last 40ish miles with me to lake michigan.
today’s loop
inst: spoken word into the onboard mic on the organelle.
happy chili season!
